Portfolio: Print Wizard visual language design
I worked with my visual design partner to develop a visual language
for icons to show printer status in the Print Wizard application.
Visual design collaboration. We chose
a 2-D look so users wouldn't confuse them with icons in the Windows operating system. Color, fill,
line and layers were used to indicate status in a very consistent way. We didn't expect that any
users would memorize this visual language, but consistency would make it more likely that they
would remember and recognize the different states.
