About Hal Shubin and Interaction Design, Inc.
Hal has developed successful methods for user interface design and customer research (including customer visits and usability studies). These methods started with his work on desktop software and evolved with the move to Web sites and Web applications. Choosing team members is an important part of each consulting engagement. Before becoming a designer, Hal was a software engineer. This background gives him a unique ability to understand what is behind the designs and to talk with engineers about implementation details. Early Web and Internet projectsHal worked on many of the first Web applications, starting in 1996, when the Web was first being used for commercial purposes.
