Portfolio: ACM — Ubiquity magazine site

Ubiquity is a peer-reviewed, online publication of ACM dedicated to the future of computing and the people who are creating it. The staff asked for expert feedback on the Web site as they were redesigning the site and moving from print to online-only.

The expert product review covered many topics, including navigation, layout, link tex and feedback in forms.

Here is the new home page. Overall, navigation and information presentation are clearer than the previous version (below).

The old home page mixed the table of contents with other listings, which confused readers. There was no overview of the site and no visual focus on the page.
